Kuwait city: Kuwait's Ministry of Education has affirmed its commitment to staying abreast of global transformations in the teaching profession to support education development aligned with the artificial intelligence era.
According to Kuwait News Agency, this announcement followed the participation of Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabtabaei and his accompanying delegation in the International Conference on the Teaching Profession (ICTP), held in the Sultanate of Oman. The event, themed "Sustainable Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence," is part of ongoing efforts to review best international practices and exchange expertise with global educational institutions. The conference focused on developing the teaching profession and building educational capacities.
The ICTP addresses the future of the teaching profession worldwide, including dialogue sessions that focus on empowering teachers in the age of artificial intelligence without replacing them. It aims to transform the teaching profession, enhance educational leadership, and address the global shortage of teachers.
The conference also features interactive workshops on sustainable professional development and inclusive education in the age of artificial intelligence. Sessions highlight the role of teachers as educational leaders capable of effectively employing technology to serve educational goals.
Kuwait's delegation to the conference includes Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Hamad Al-Hamad and Director General of Educational Districts Mohammad Al-Wazzan. The two-day conference is organized by Oman's Ministry of Education with participation from over 400 figures, including education ministers from GCC countries, experts from regional and international organizations, and specialists in artificial intelligence.
