Gaza: Israeli occupation forces renewed their military assault on the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of 20 Palestinians and injuring dozens, including a paramedic, women, and children. Health authorities in Gaza reported that the attacks involved both air and ground strikes, targeting residential areas and shelters housing displaced civilians.
According to Kuwait News Agency, emergency departments in Gaza have received around 20 Palestinian fatalities since the early hours of the day. The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that a paramedic was killed during humanitarian duties in Khan Younis, located in southern Gaza.
Eyewitnesses informed KUNA that the strikes were concentrated in the Tuffah, Shuja'iyya, and Al-Zaytun neighborhoods, leading to the displacement of numerous families. They also noted that helicopters and drones targeted tents sheltering displaced individuals in the coastal Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis.
Health authorities cautioned that the number of casualties might increase due to the critical condition of many of the injured and the challenges faced by Gaza's hospitals in providing treatment amidst ongoing assaults across the enclave.
