Kuwait city: Kuwait's Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabtabaei, along with his delegation, engaged in a series of bilateral meetings with international delegations on the sidelines of the 43rd session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Tabtabaei met with the Finnish delegation led by State Secretary Mikaela Nylander, discussing bilateral educational cooperation and Finland's approach to teacher training and educational standards. Nylander invited the Kuwaiti delegation to Finland to explore its educational system.
Al-Tabtabaei also met with Singapore's Permanent Delegate to UNESCO, Rosa Daniel, to discuss educational cooperation and teacher development. Daniel extended an invitation to visit Singapore to learn about its educational practices.
In addition, Al-Tabtabaei congratulated Khaled El-Enany on his election as UNESCO's Director-General and affirmed Kuwait's support for UNESCO initiatives. Meetings with UAE's Minister of Education Sarah Al-Amiri and Syria's Minister of Education Mohammad Turko focused on enhancing educational cooperation and exchanging expertise.
Al-Tabtabaei also met with Khundker Talha, President of UNESCO's 43rd General Conference, discussing cooperation in education, culture, and communication. The Minister held talks with Uzbekistan's First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bahram Aliyev on enhancing bilateral relations.
Finally, discussions with Sudan's Education Minister Al-Tahami Mohammad centered on joint educational cooperation.
