Kuwait city: Director General of Kuwait's General Department of Customs, Yousef Al-Nuwaif, has called for increased collaboration among customs departments to ensure smooth cargo movement and prevent smuggling activities. This call to action came during his visit to Shuwaikh Port (Northern Ports Customs) and Failaka Island, accompanied by Deputy Director General for Research and Investigation Saleh Al-Omar.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Nuwaif praised customs inspectors for their role in supporting the security and economy of the country. He emphasized the importance of field checks in enhancing discipline, readiness, and performance among customs staff. Al-Nuwaif also highlighted Kuwait Customs' commitment to advancing its operations to align with international practices.
The inspection tour included a visit to the Container Inspection Center and various specialized units, where officials discussed measures to expedite transactions while adhering to customs regulations. These efforts are part of Kuwait Customs' ongoing initiative to enhance its operational efficiency and effectiveness.
