Kuwait Condemns Israeli Attack on UN Peacekeepers in Lebanon

Kuwait city: The State of Kuwait has strongly condemned an attack by Israeli occupation forces on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). The assault is viewed as a blatant violation of Lebanese sovereignty and a direct challenge to the will of the international community and relevant United Nations resolutions, particularly the UN Security Council Resolution 1701/2006, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the State of Kuwait expressed its full support for Lebanon and the measures it deems necessary to safeguard its security and sovereignty. The official statement highlights the importance of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) taking responsibility for maintaining international peace and security. The statement also commended the efforts of UNIFIL troops in implementing their mandate as outlined in the relevant UNSC resolutions.
