Kuwait City: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned a drone attack on the Saudi Hospital in El-Fasher City, located in Sudan’s Darfur region. The attack, which occurred earlier on Sunday, resulted in numerous casualties and injuries among civilians.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the ministry released a statement highlighting that this attack constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law. The statement emphasized the importance of safeguarding civilians, healthcare facilities, and essential infrastructure during conflicts.
The ministry expressed Kuwait’s condolences to the victims and wished a swift recovery for those injured. It also urged the implementation of UN Security Council resolution 2736, issued in June 2024, which calls for the protection of civilians and healthcare institutions. The resolution demands that all parties involved in the conflict adhere to international humanitarian law and ensure humanitarian access to affected civilians.
