Paris: Kuwait's Competition Protection Authority (CPA) took part on Tuesday in the Global Forum on Competition (OECD), held in Paris to explore the competition effects of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in global trade. In a statement, CPA mentioned that this year's forum will address the impact of AI in transforming competition across various sectors and discuss competition law enforcement in informal markets, along with the regulatory tools needed to minimize harmful practices within them.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the participation aligns with CPA's strategic plan to enhance its international presence, improve cooperation with counterpart agencies, and exchange practical expertise. The Kuwaiti delegation was represented by CPA's Head of Monopolistic Investigation Department Al-Anoud Al-Fahad and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions Shahad Al-Saqabi.
Established in 2001, the OECD Global Forum on Competition is a leading international platform in the economic sphere. It brings together high-level officials and experts from more than 110 competition authorities worldwide to promote a broader dialogue that encompasses the connections between competition policy and other key aspects of economic development.
