Kuwait city: The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) announced on Thursday that it diverted airplanes scheduled to arrive at Kuwait International Airport to neighboring countries. This decision was made due to heavy fog conditions making it impossible for planes to land safely, prioritizing the safety of passengers and crew.
According to Kuwait News Agency, heavy fog has enveloped Kuwait airport, reducing visibility to less than 100 meters. This significant drop in visibility has affected the safe landing and departure of flights, leading to the diversion of incoming planes to neighboring destinations. PACA spokesman Abdullah Al-Rajhi emphasized that normal operations would resume once weather conditions improve, and the authority would continue to update passengers and the public through official communication channels.
Al-Rajhi expressed gratitude to passengers and airlines for their understanding and cooperation regarding the safety measures taken in response to the adverse weather conditions.
