Kuwait city: Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraiaan, paid a visit to the Salem Al-Sabah Air Base, where he was received by the Commander of the Air Force, Brigadier General (Pilot) Nasser Al-Shuraida, along with several senior Air Force officers.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Kuwaiti Army General Staff released a press statement detailing that at the beginning of the visit, Lieutenant General Al-Shuraiaan received a comprehensive briefing. The briefing covered the key tasks and responsibilities of the base, as well as the modern technical equipment and capabilities it possesses to support the operational missions of the Air Force.
The statement added that following the briefing, Lieutenant General Al-Shuraiaan conducted a field tour. This tour included inspecting the readiness level of the Bayraktar TB2 drone and learning about its capabilities that meet the requirements of modern air operations.
The tour also included the Eurofighter aircraft hangars, where the Chief of Staff listened to an explanation about their operation and the training programs prepared for pilots and technicians. These programs contribute to enhancing the efficiency and combat readiness of the Air Force.
The statement quoted Lieutenant General Al-Shuraiaan as expressing his appreciation for the efforts of the base personnel. He praised their level of competence and professionalism and affirmed his commitment to supporting and developing the Air Force to strengthen its ability to perform its duties in protecting the country's airspace and maintaining its security and stability.
