The break is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, January 1-2, 2025. According to Kuwait News Agency, the cabinet decree specifies that Thursday, January 2, will be an additional day off. This decision was made because it falls between the official New Year holiday on January 1 and the weekend, which includes Friday and Saturday. Consequently, government institutions are set to resume work on Sunday, January 5, 2025. The decree also notes that government bodies with specific operational needs can determine their own schedules for the break to ensure that the public interest is not affected.
