Kuwait and Saudi Arabia Committed to Strengthening Security Integration

Kuwait city: Acting Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior Major General Ali Al-Adwani affirmed on Monday Kuwait and Saudi Arabia's keenness to enhance security integration and unify efforts to address regional and international challenges.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Adwani made this statement following his participation in the third meeting of the Kuwaiti-Saudi Coordination Council held in Riyadh. He highlighted the deep-rooted ties binding the two countries and emphasized the importance of their partnership.

The statement noted that the Ministry's participation focused on reviewing the work of the Joint Military and Security Coordination Committee under the Council. This included updates on initiatives in areas such as security, defense, crime prevention, cybersecurity, and strategic planning.

Al-Adwani, who chairs the committee, stressed that such cooperation reflects the two countries' commitment to strengthening joint security coordination. This collaboration aims to promote stability in both nations and support the course of bilateral cooperation.

The third Kuwaiti-Saudi Coordination Council meeting, held earlier in Riyadh, was co-chaired by Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya and his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan. The council reviewed key areas of cooperation, particularly in economy, investment, security, and development, and discussed ways to further advance them, reflecting the shared desire to deepen and expand bilateral relations across all fields.
