Amman: Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives Mazen Al-Qadi stated that relations between Jordan and Kuwait are solid and founded on mutual trust, respect, and appreciation.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Qadi made these remarks during a meeting with Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan Hamad Al-Marri. The ambassador congratulated Al-Qadi on his election as Speaker for the parliament's second session and wished him success in his new role.
Al-Qadi emphasized the deep-rooted ties between the two nations under the leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and King Abdullah II of Jordan. He highlighted the importance of continued coordination to serve mutual interests.
Al-Marri reaffirmed Kuwait's commitment to enhancing cooperation with Jordan across various fields and praised the strong historical partnership between the two countries. He also commended Jordan's steadfast support for the Palestinian people in Gaza and its efforts in defending the Palestinian cause in international forums, noting the shared views of both countries on Arab issues.
The meeting also reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation to serve common interests and Arab and Islamic causes.
