Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan Engage in Fourth Round of Political Consultations

Kuwait city: Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Ministries held the fourth round of political consultations on Tuesday, with participation from Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Ambassador Samih Hayat and Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Foreign Minister Temirbek Erkinov.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions focused on developmental, economic, and political cooperation, reflecting the directives of both countries' supreme political leadership. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the continued development of ties between the two nations.

During the consultations, both parties reviewed drafts of 32 agreements and memoranda of understanding across various domains. They agreed to prepare these documents for signing by the two governments in the first quarter of 2026. The agreements aim to enhance economic partnerships, expand investment and trade cooperation, and open new business channels in both countries.

The discussions also addressed the provision of additional facilitations and incentives for exporters and importers in Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan, aiming to support trade and investment initiatives in the upcoming phase. Both sides also focused on sharing expertise in innovation, technology, entrepreneurship, and financial services, while introducing new programs to support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises.
