Kuwait and DCO Pursue Collaboration in Digital Economy and Financial Inclusion

Kuwait City: Kuwaiti Minister of Finance and State Minister for Economic Affairs and Investment Noora Al-Fassam and Secretary-General of Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) Deemah Al-Yahya discussed cooperation in digital economy and financial inclusion. During the meeting, held in Kuwait on Sunday, both sides tackled the DCO's efforts to create an attractive investment atmosphere for digital economy and explore opportunities of cooperation with Kuwait to promote investment in digital startups in Kuwait and member states, the Ministry of Finance said in a press release. According to Kuwait News Agency, the minister said Kuwait and the DCO share the same vision of bolstering digital inclusion and developing innovation-based economy on the basis that Kuwait, which is a DCO co-founder, is committed to backing digital transformation in line with Kuwait's 2035 development vision. She added that the meeting reflects Kuwait's status as a regional hub for digital investments and developed technological infrastruc ture, stressing that it is essential to have continued cooperation with the DCO, given that Kuwait is now its current chair. The Kuwaiti minister noted that this strategic partnership would contribute to bolstering financial innovation and creating an attractive investment atmosphere for member states' entrepreneurs and digital startups.
