Kuwait city: Kuwait has positioned itself as a leading nation in the implementation of robotic surgery techniques within its medical system. This was announced in a speech delivered by Ministry of Health's Undersecretary Dr. Abdurrahman Al-Mutairi during the opening of Kuwait's first endocrine surgery forum.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Dr. Al-Mutairi, representing the sponsor of the forum Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi, stated that this initiative is part of the ministry's strategic plan to invest in advanced medical technologies. The goal is to enhance the quality of healthcare services and improve the accuracy of medical diagnoses.
Addressing an audience that included distinguished surgeons and specialists from Kuwait and abroad, Dr. Al-Mutairi highlighted that endocrine surgery is now at the forefront of advanced medical subspecialties. It combines high surgical skill with a profound sense of human responsibility, emphasizing that each surgery in this field is a crucial moment for patients regaining health and balance.
The Ministry of Health has established specialized endocrine surgery units at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital, and Al-Amiri Hospital. Dr. Al-Mutairi noted that similar units are being implemented in the remaining general hospitals.
In his remarks, conference chair Dr. Ali Al-Sayed noted that the forum is the first entirely dedicated to endocrine surgery in Kuwait. He emphasized that the event is not just a scientific gathering but a testament to the country's commitment to its medical and humanitarian mission.
