Kuwait Amir Visits Fire Force Headquarters, Emphasizes Strategic Development

Kuwait City: His Highness the Amir, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, visited the Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) headquarters on Tuesday, accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah. His Highness was welcomed by Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and KFF Chief Major General Talal Al-Roumi.

According to Kuwait News Agency, during his visit, His Highness congratulated the fire force on the holy month of Ramadan and expressed his pride in their service and sacrifice. He praised the leadership and training efforts of the force's chiefs and reaffirmed his support for enhancing the force's efficiency and readiness to protect communities. His Highness emphasized the importance of keeping pace with advancements in the field of prevention through strategic planning.

His Highness highlighted the fire force's involvement in the Sixth Arab Regional Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction, where Kuwait urged global governments to implement the Sendai Framework. To further the force's development and align with international standards, His Highness directed the leadership to enhance vigilance and readiness, modernize systems, leverage modern technology for prevention and awareness, update equipment, and collaborate with military, security, and civil sectors for effective disaster management.

KFF Chief Major General Talal Al-Roumi expressed gratitude for His Highness's support and detailed the force's achievements, including system modernization, extensive preventative inspections, improved security systems, new fire station establishments, training programs, and awareness campaigns. The visit concluded with Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ali Al-Mutairi reciting a poem and His Highness receiving a commemorative gift in honor of his visit.
