Kuwait Aims to Drive Pan-Arab Sustainable Development Plan

Kuwait City: Kuwait is eager to contribute towards efforts aiming to bring an Arab-wide 2030 sustainable development plan to fruition, its national cultural body said on Wednesday. Kuwait's National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) is actively engaged in initiatives and projects that will be pivotal in advancing the strategy, which primarily focuses on preserving the region's "cultural identity," revealed the body's assistant chief for the cultural department Aisha Al-Mahmoud during a gathering in the Egyptian capital to discuss progress over the pan-Arab plan.

According to Kuwait News Agency, NCCAL routinely organizes various workshops and events to promote the Arabic language and hosts competitions that acknowledge outstanding literary works and authors. Aisha Al-Mahmoud highlighted the significant changes in the region's cultural landscape due to emerging technologies, which can be instrumental in fostering creativity and productivity in the cultural sector.

Kuwait has cultivated a strong relationship with regional and international bodies as part of its efforts to achieve its cultural objectives and plans, Al-Mahmoud stated.
