Kuwait city: Acting Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah visited the general directorate of land border security, where he was briefed on measures to safeguard the borders. The visit was part of the security leadership's ongoing efforts to pursue field operations and stay updated on the latest security techniques, as stated by the Ministry of Interior in a press release on Saturday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Fahad praised the performance and efforts of the border security sector's personnel. He emphasized the importance of continuing the development of security systems, enhancing the skills and efficiency of personnel, and utilizing modern techniques to adapt to security changes.
During the visit, Sheikh Fahad attended a presentation on the development of a new border safeguarding system. He was informed about the system's mechanism and modern techniques that aim to improve readiness.
The Acting Prime Minister also visited the Buhaith border center to assess its readiness and the measures in place. He was received by Maj. Gen. Mujbel bin Shawq, the head of Border Security Affairs and Coast Guard, along with other senior officials.
