Kuwait city: The KUNA Center for Development of Media has initiated its training program titled "Combating Misinformation," engaging several KUNA staff members in an effort that will extend until October 23.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the program is led by Dr. Husain Murad, an Associate Professor at the Department of Mass Communication at Kuwait University. It offers insights into the modern information crisis, examining the nature of the information revolution and its associated challenges, alongside exploring the psychology behind the spread of misinformation.
The program adopts both theoretical and practical approaches to address the misinformation ecosystem. It includes methods for detecting fake news, deconstruction methodologies, and features a strategic workshop focused on "Building a Verification Protocol at KUNA." Established in December 1995, the KUNA Center for Development of Media stands as a significant media training center, having facilitated numerous training programs in varying media fields. Its mission is to enhance personal media skills and bolster professional media practices.
