Kirkuk Governor Inaugurates Dialogue And Peace Camp in Kirkuk

The Governor of Kirkuk, Rakan Al-Jubouri, inaugurated the Peace Camp, which was organized by the Kirkuk Youth Peace Team, with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in partnership with the Iraqi Youth Solidarity Association, and funded by the Danish government for the year 2023.

The governor of Kirkuk said that hosting Kirkuk for a number of young people to inform them of the reality of Kirkuk, its heritage, history and reconstruction, study the participants and strengthen the foundations of communication and dialogue is an important opportunity to confirm the message of Kirkuk and its safe and stable reality, and see the coexistence of its people after years, challenges and harsh conditions faced by its components and honorable citizens.

The representative of the United Nations Development Program, Issa Salim, delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of the camp within the plans and programs of community cohesion.

Young people representing a number of governorates participated in the camp.
