Kenrokuen Celebrated for Its Historical Beauty and Seasonal Splendor

Kanazawa: Kenrokuen is a traditional Japanese strolling garden located in Kanazawa City, cherished for its beauty and historical significance. Adjacent to Kanazawa Castle, it is regarded as one of Japan's Three Greatest Gardens along with Mito's Kairakuen and Okayama's Korakuen.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Kenrokuen was created between the 17th and 19th centuries by the wealthy Maeda Clan lords of the Kaga Domain. The garden is renowned for its seasonal views, offering unique features throughout the year. In winter, visitors can witness yukitsuri, a traditional practice where parasol-like straw ropes are used to protect tree branches from heavy snow.

Spring brings a different charm to Kenrokuen, as it becomes famous for its cherry blossoms. Over 40 varieties and more than 400 cherry trees bloom, with the peak usually occurring in mid-April, drawing both locals and tourists to experience its natural beauty.
