KCCI Underscores Uzbek Partnership

Kuwait City: Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) highlighted on Sunday the strong partnership between Kuwait and Uzbekistan, underscoring their mutual investments and Uzbekistan's role as an economic hub in Central Asia. A KCCI statement on the Kuwaiti-Uzbek Business Forum highlighted Uzbekistan's attractive investment opportunities for Kuwaitis across various sectors.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Uzbekistan Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov, who is heading his country's delegation, noted his country's 20% increase in exports last year, emphasizing its abundant natural resources, including gold, silver, uranium, and natural gas. Uzbekistan has implemented several reforms in its regulatory framework, including changes to tax laws, market liberalization, investment attraction, streamlining government procedures, and fostering public-private sector partnerships, Kudratov added.

During the forum sessions, the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) showcased Kuwait's Vision 2035 in a presentation, discussing several projects and partnerships.
