Amman: Secretary-General of the Jordanian Ministry of Government Communication Zaid Nawaiseh reaffirmed Monday the country's firm commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, especially in media.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Nawaiseh made the remarks while receiving a delegation of GCC news agencies at the ministry's headquarters. This meeting was part of an exchange program between the Jordan news agency (Petra) and the Gulf news agencies, coordinated by the GCC General Secretariat.
Nawaiseh highlighted that media cooperation has evolved in recent years to take an institutional dimension within the GCC framework. He noted that recent meetings have focused on exchanging expertise between Petra and its counterparts in the Gulf, as well as with the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation.
