Amman: Jordanian King Abdullah II on Sunday reiterated rejection of the Israeli occupation plan to consolidate Gaza occupation, widen military control over it, and expand settlement activity in the West Bank. The Jordanian king made the remarks while welcoming a visiting United States Congress delegation, which included Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Representative Joe Wilson, the Royal Court said in a press release.
According to Kuwait News Agency, King Abdullah II emphasized the need to reach an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and to ensure the flow of humanitarian aid by all possible means to all areas of the enclave. He also highlighted the importance of supporting Palestinians in obtaining their just and legitimate rights and establishing their independent state on the basis of the two-state solution.
