Jordan and Egypt Advocate for Strict Gaza Ceasefire Compliance

Amman: Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty have jointly urged for complete adherence to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the necessity for its rigorous implementation.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Jordanian and Egyptian foreign ministers engaged in a phone conversation, highlighting that the stability of the Middle East is contingent upon a political framework centered around a two-state solution to the ongoing conflict. The Jordanian foreign ministry statement further elaborated on the importance of this approach.

The discussions between the two diplomats come in anticipation of an upcoming international conference aimed at advancing reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip. The success of these plans is expected to largely depend on international support, as highlighted in the statement.
