Kuwait City: Kuwait's Jazeera Airways announced on Wednesday profits amounting to KD 4.7 million (approximately USD 15.3 million) for the first quarter of 2025. This marks a substantial 274.8 percent increase compared to the previous year, with a share value of 21.44 fils.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the airline's Chairman, Marwan Boodai, highlighted in a press statement that the company achieved KD 53.6 million (approximately USD 174.8 million) in operating revenue during Q1 2025, representing a 15.5 percent growth. The operating profit for the quarter surged to KD 6.8 million (around USD 22.1 million). Additionally, Jazeera Airways carried 1.2 million passengers in the first quarter of this year, reflecting a 7.7 percent increase from the same period last year.
Founded in 2004, Jazeera Airways has been listed on Boursa Kuwait since 2008. The airline operates low-cost commercial flights and air cargo services from Kuwait International Airport's Terminal 5 (T5).
