Eight Palestinians were injured by the gunfire of Israeli occupation forces during a several-hour-long raid into Aqabat Jaber camp in Jericho City in the West Bank early Thursday.

The injured Palestinians, including one on critical condition, were taken to Jericho Hospital, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a press release.

Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-scale incursion into the city, using more than 100 military vehicles in attacking at least 50 houses, local sources were quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, occupation forces closed all entrances to Aqabat Jaber refugee camp and arrested 14 young Palestinians, in addition to four others at separate areas in the occupied West Bank city of Jericho, said the Palestinian Prisoner?’s Society.
