Jerusalem: The Israeli occupation has prohibited Sheikh Mohammad Hussein, the grand mufti of Jerusalem and Palestinian territories, from entering the Al-Aqsa mosque for a period of six months.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Palestinian governorate of Jerusalem issued a press statement revealing that Sheikh Hussein was initially suspended for eight days. This initial suspension was then extended to six months following a decision by Amir Azrani, referred to as the "head of the Jerusalem District Police."
The statement further explained that the decision to bar the mufti was influenced by his Friday prayer sermon, during which he criticized the Israeli occupation's policies, particularly the starvation policy imposed on the people of the Gaza Strip.
