Beirut: At least one person was killed in an Israeli occupation airstrike on southern Lebanon on Monday, according to the Ministry of Health. According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry's Emergency Operations Center reported that the individual was killed due to an airstrike by an Israeli drone targeting a car in the town of Qaqaiyat al-Jisr in Southern Lebanon. Lebanon and the Israeli occupation had signed a ceasefire agreement on November 27, 2024, to bring an end to the military escalation that started in 2023. This escalation led to a wide-scale military operation last September, resulting in thousands of casualties and the destruction of homes and infrastructure.
