Jerusalem: Palestinian General Authority for Civil Affairs affirmed on Friday the death of two Palestinian youth by the Israeli occupation forces in Al-Judeira in the occupied Jerusalem. The authority said in a statement that it had informed the Palestinian Health Ministry that the bodies of Mohammad Taym and Mohammad Qassim, both 16 years old, were detained by occupation forces.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Jerusalem Governorate stated that the occupation forces fired at the two young men northwest of Jerusalem. The pair were wounded and arrested by the troops. Later, they were pronounced dead.
The Israeli military claimed that the troops shot dead the two Palestinians after they hurled a Molotov cocktail onto a main road. The incident has further fueled tensions in the region, with both sides presenting conflicting narratives about the events leading to the deaths of the teenagers.
