Iraqi Interior Ministry Commends Kuwait for Assisting Stranded Pilgrims

Kuwait City: The Iraqi Ministry of Interior has extended its gratitude to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior for their assistance in enabling the entry of stranded Iraqi travelers and pilgrims through the airport and ensuring their safe land transit back to Iraq. This initiative was undertaken following an air embargo due to ongoing regional developments.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the assistance was provided under the guidance of Kuwait's political leadership. The Iraqi Ministry highlighted the action as a testament to the strong bilateral relationship between Iraq and Kuwait, emphasizing the importance of such cooperation within the Arab and regional contexts.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior had previously announced measures to facilitate the entry and transit of these travelers and pilgrims. The need for such interventions arose after Iraqi airspace was closed following a security escalation involving the Israeli occupation and Iran.
