Kuwait City: The Iraqi Joint Operations Command announced on Thursday the killing of two so-called Islamic State (IS/Daesh) members in an airstrike carried out last Tuesday in Salah Al-Din Governorate, north of Baghdad.
According to Kuwait News Agency, a statement from the command indicated that a security force from the Saladin Operations Command inspected a site in the Balkana Mountains that had been bombed by Iraqi fighter jets. During the inspection, the bodies of two IS members were discovered.
The command further detailed that the forces uncovered various weapons, logistical materials, mobile phones, and criminal evidence at the site.
