Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his country's readiness to collaborate in promoting regional security, peace, and stability during a phone call with Egyptian President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi, as reported by the Iranian Presidency.
According to Kuwait News Agency, President Pezeshkian emphasized Iran's commitment to cooperating with regional nations and other key players to enhance security and stability across the region. He highlighted Iran's support for creating a zone free of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction, contingent upon the inclusion of the Zionist regime.
In the conversation, President Pezeshkian praised the efforts of President Al-Sisi and other leaders from Muslim and neighboring countries in advancing regional peace and stability. Meanwhile, Egyptian President Al-Sisi expressed his approval of the recent ceasefire agreement between Iran and the Israeli occupation, indicating Egypt's willingness to facilitate indirect talks between Tehran and Washington.
President Al-Sisi also acknowledged Tehran's commitment to continuing negotiations and dialogue, underscoring the potential for further diplomatic progress in the region.
