Kuwait City: His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award announced on Tuesday four winners of the 24th Informatics Award for the year 2024, from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia. Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Award Bassam Al-Shammari revealed that the prestigious accolade recognized digital excellence across the region.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the winners included two entities from the State of Kuwait, one from Saudi Arabia, and one from Tunisia. Bassam Al-Shammari identified the Kuwaiti winners as the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC), part of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science (KFAS), and Bleems Company for Designing and Managing Websites. The Saudi winner was the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, while the Tunisian winner was Dr. Farouk bin Nouri Kamoun.
Al-Shammari highlighted that SACGC is a government agency known for its digital innovation and entrepreneurship. Bleems, on the other hand, is recognized as a leading company in the Gulf electronic market, specializing in gifts and flowers, and is noted for its electronic shopping platform. He mentioned that the award selection was grounded in objective technical standards focused on excellence in digital technologies and their applications, with numerous agencies and individuals from Kuwait and the Arab world vying for this honor.
