Indonesia Confirms Safe Evacuation of KM III Barcelona Passengers

Jakarta: The Indonesian Navy confirmed Sunday that all passengers aboard the KM III Barcelona passenger ship, which caught fire in the waters of North Sulawesi, have been safely evacuated.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Vice Admiral Denih Hendrata, Commander of the Indonesian Navy's Fleet Command, stated, "We confirm that all victims have been evacuated." This statement was echoed by Commodore May Franky Pasuna, Commander of the VIII/Manado Naval Base, who reported that 280 passengers were evacuated by officers. Unfortunately, three of the passengers passed away.
