Banjul: The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) launched the second program of its strategic initiative, 'Competence,' in Banjul, The Gambia, which focuses on training specialists and technicians in the safe disposal of mines and IEDs in military operations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Secretary-General of the IMCTC Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi emphasized that combating terrorism is not limited to military operations alone but requires a comprehensive approach, including intellectual and media training and ensuring operational readiness.
Scheduled from January 21 to February 9, the training program focuses on counterterrorism specialists and provides comprehensive theoretical and practical instruction in neutralizing explosives and unexploded ordnance, in accordance with international standards.
The launch of the program in The Gambia underscores the coalition's commitment to creating a practical model for military cooperation among its member states to build a force capable of safeguarding national and regional security.
