Kuwait city: Kuwait Winter Games Club President Fhaid Al-Ajmi announced on Wednesday that Kuwaiti referee Shoug Al-Hindal was chosen to officiate at the U18 Women's World Championship 2026 Division III in Thailand next January. According to Kuwait News Agency, the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) selected Al-Hindal for the second time following her success in the last edition of the championship. This decision reflects the capabilities of national talents in this sport and enhances the role of Kuwaiti ice hockey on the international stage. Al-Ajmi expressed his belief that referee Al-Hindal will deliver an outstanding performance and bring recognition to Kuwaiti ice hockey at this significant international sporting event. For her part, Al-Hindal conveyed her pride in being the first Kuwaiti referee to participate in such a high-level event for two consecutive times and affirmed her readiness to give her utmost effort to represent Kuwaiti Ice Hockey positively. She noted that her successful parti cipation in the previous edition of the championship would motivate her to achieve even greater success in the upcoming tournament.
