IICO Launches Mobile Clinic Project in Yemen to Treat 4,500 Patients

Kuwait City: The International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO) has launched a mobile medical clinic project in Yemen with the aim of treating 4,500 patients at an estimated cost of USD 77,250. This initiative is being carried out in Al-Wadea District of Abyan Governorate, where it will provide free medicines and medical supplies to underprivileged patients, including pregnant and lactating women and children in the regions of Azan and Labu Amrkad.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the project operates under the slogan "Kuwait is by your side" and is implemented by the Nedaa Foundation for Development. It aligns with IICO's vision to extend support to the needy and impoverished in Yemen. The project will span three months, concentrating on human health and development in light of dwindling support from organizations and limited resources for the beneficiaries.

The mobile clinic project will target three governorates, specifically focusing on the cities of Abyan, Lahj, and Hodeidah. The initiative underscores the commitment to address healthcare needs despite the challenging circumstances faced by the region's inhabitants.
