Highest Safety Standards at Kuwait Airport Strategic Priority, Says DGCA

Kuwait City: Chairperson of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, affirmed on Tuesday that achieving the highest safety standards at Kuwait International Airport is a strategic priority. This commitment aligns with government directives to overhaul the infrastructure and enhance Kuwait's status as a regional hub for air navigation.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Humoud expressed these views following the fifth meeting of the national committee for security aviation facilities. The meeting focused on strengthening security measures and updating facilities at Kuwait International Airport. Sheikh Humoud emphasized that the Civil Aviation department is dedicated to implementing top international practices for aviation security and safety. He elaborated that the commission reviewed procedures to ensure that measures at Kuwait airport align with those set by international organizations, particularly the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The directorate president further indicated that meeting participants examined relevant treaties and agreements with local and external parties. These discussions aimed at supporting the legal and regulatory systems to enhance the security and safety of passengers and air installations.
