HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Attends Third Round of Bahrain Turf Series

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, attended the third round of the fifth edition of the Bahrain Turf Series. The event was part of the 14th race of the 2025-2026 season, held at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club racecourse in Al Raffah, Sakhir.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was also graced by the presence of His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment and Deputy Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club. The race meeting was dedicated to the Cup of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court and Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, alongside additional cups associated with His Highness's sons.

The programme featured the Al Adiyat Cup, sponsored by Bareeq, and the Al Wasmiya Cup, sponsored by the National Bank of Bahrain, part of the Bahrain Turf Series. Other highlights included the Al Adiyat Bahrain-Bred Cup and the Huntsman Cup. The event attracted Their Highnesses, Excellencies, diplomatic corps members, and representatives from sponsoring entities, drawing a large audience who witnessed competitive races.

Winners of the race cups were honored, with His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa awarding trophies to various winners. Abdulla Kuwaiti received the first-round trophy, while Daniel and Claire Kubler claimed the fifth-round trophy. His Highness Shaikh Sultan Al Deen bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa was awarded the sixth-round trophy.

Zaid Yousif Khonji presented the third-round trophy to winning owner Mohammed Khalid Abdulrahim, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa was given the fourth-round trophy by Khaled Hussain Taqi. Additionally, Taj Phull, Managing Director of Huntsman Company, presented the second-round trophy to His Highness Shaikh Sultan Al Deen bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa.

As part of the series, Usman Ahmed, CEO of the National Bank of Bahrain, awarded the Al Wasmiya Cup to the representative of the winning owner Think And Become. The horse Another Baar secured the first place in the fifth round. Ayoob Al Awadhi of Bareeq Al Retaj presented the Al Adiyat Cup to trainer George Scott after Phantom Flight, owned by Victorious Forever, won the sixth round for the second year in a row.

The event also included six additional races, contributing to an evening of robust racing entertainment.
