Gaza city: The Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas announced that it has agreed to release all Israeli prisoners, both living and dead, according to the exchange formula outlined in US President Donald Trump's proposal, provided the necessary "on the ground" conditions are met for the exchange process. In a statement, the movement affirmed its readiness to immediately enter into negotiations through mediators to discuss the details of this matter, explaining that its response was submitted to the mediators after extensive study.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the statement noted that Hamas renews its agreement to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian body of independent technocrats, based on Palestinian national consensus and Arab and Islamic support. Regarding other issues included in President Trump's proposal related to the future of the Gaza Strip and the inherent rights of the Palestinian people, the movement clarified that this is linked to a comprehensive national position and based on relevant international laws and resolutions.
The statement further explained that these issues are being discussed within a comprehensive Palestinian national framework, within which Hamas will be a part and to which it will contribute responsibly. It also expressed appreciation for the Arab, Islamic, and international efforts, as well as the efforts of US President Trump, which called for an end to the war on the Gaza Strip, a prisoners exchange, the immediate entry of aid, the rejection of the occupation of the Gaza Strip, and the displacement of the Palestinian people from it.
