Gaza: The International Committee to Break the Siege of Gaza announced on Friday that some Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) activists have initiated a hunger strike in protest against the Israeli occupation navy's interception of their boats.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the committee reported that the Israeli occupation has detained approximately 470 activists aboard ships. The occupation navy intercepted a total of 42 ships carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. The committee noted that Marinette was the last vessel intercepted by the occupation forces today.
In a related development, Tunisian President Kais Saied declared on Thursday that significant diplomatic efforts are underway to secure the release of all Tunisians detained by the occupation authorities. The Tunisian presidency emphasized that diplomatic actions have been ongoing for several days, affirming that the state will not abandon its national responsibility.
The Israeli occupation has detained over 10 Tunisian activists, including three journalists. Tunisian ships involved in the flotilla are carrying a total of 30 individuals.
