Grossi: Iran’s Cooperation with IAEA Indispensable

Vienna: Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi emphasized the critical nature of Iran's cooperation with the agency during his recent visit to Tehran. He highlighted the importance of meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, describing the visit as "timely." Grossi stressed that collaboration with the IAEA is crucial to providing credible assurances regarding the peaceful intentions of Iran's nuclear program, especially when diplomacy is of utmost urgency. He shared these remarks on his X account following discussions with the Iranian official.

According to Kuwait News Agency, two days prior to his trip to Tehran, Grossi welcomed Iran's Ambassador Reza Najafi to the IAEA headquarters, where Najafi presented his credentials. Grossi reiterated the importance of Iran's ongoing engagement and cooperation with the IAEA as essential, particularly at this juncture when diplomatic solutions are critically needed.
