Germany Demands That Israel Abstain From Building New Settlements

Berlin: The German Government on Friday demanded that the Israeli occupation government halt settlement construction in the West Bank. The demand arises from mounting concerns over recent developments in the region.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the German authorities have taken this stand following the Israeli occupation government's announcement of a scheme to build numerous new settlements between Jerusalem and the West Bank. This proposal has sparked international attention and concern.

The German Government has "strongly rejected" the Israeli Government's declaration regarding the construction of thousands of settlements in the West Bank. They argue that such a scheme would severely impact the Palestinians by dividing the West Bank into two parts, thereby restraining their movement. The German Government expressed these concerns in an official statement, emphasizing the potential implications of the settlement expansion.
