Riyadh: The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) participated as a strategic partner in the Esri Middle East and North Africa User Conference 2026, reinforcing its role as the national reference authority leading the surveying and geospatial information sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference, held in Riyadh from January 20 to 21, opened with a keynote address delivered by GEOSA President Dr. Eng. Mohammed bin Yahya Al-Sayel. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of geospatial information as a central element in supporting data-driven decision-making based on accurate and reliable data. He also noted that geospatial information is a key pillar supporting digital transformation initiatives and Saudi Vision 2030.
The conference also featured GEOSA's participation through an exhibition pavilion showcasing its most prominent initiatives, geospatial products and services, and efforts to build national capabilities. The pavilion highlighted the national geospatial infrastructure and its various components, the services provided for geospatial licensing and permits, as well as the authority's leading achievements and international awards.
