GCC’s Commitment to Iraq’s Stability Reaffirmed by Secretary General

Amman: The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi, reiterated the GCC's steadfast positions and decisions concerning Iraq. He emphasized support for the ongoing efforts to achieve security and stability in Iraq, as outlined in the final communique issued by the GCC Supreme Council at its 46th session in December 2015. According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait's Ambassador to Jordan, Hamad Al-Marri, highlighted the participation of Kuwaiti visual artists in an international exhibition in Jordan, noting it as a significant Kuwaiti presence on the Arab art scene. This event underscores the cultural engagement and contribution of Kuwaiti artists in the region. In Muscat, Kuwait's national shooting team marked their presence at the Arab Pistol and Rifle Shooting Championship by securing a silver medal in the 10m Air Rifle - Women's Team event. Their performance reflects the team's dedication and skill in the sport. Meanwhile, in Kuala Lumpur, Kuwaiti jet ski racers Mohammad Bo urabee, Mohammad Al-Baz, Yusuf Abdulrazzaq, and Rashed Al-Dawas showcased their talents in the final round of the World Cup (King of Thailand Cup) tournament held in Pattaya, Thailand. Their participation and achievements in the tournament highlight the prowess of Kuwaiti athletes on the international stage. In Rabat, Moroccan Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan inaugurated the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON-Morocco 2025) at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium. The event marks the beginning of a significant sports tournament that will continue until January 18th.
