Abu dhabi: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi welcomed Sunday the steps taken by Hamas towards the initiative of US President Donald Trump and international and regional efforts to end the crisis in the Gaza Strip.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the efforts also aim to reach a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire agreement, and alleviate the humanitarian suffering of Palestinian people. The Secretary General underlined the steadfast position of the Cooperation Council on the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Palestinian resistance movement "Hamas" agreed to Trump's peace plan to end the two-year war that has killed more than 66,000 Palestinian and injured 169,165 others.
