GCC Pledges Support for Crisis-Hit Communities

Munich: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jasem Al-Budaiwi has reaffirmed the commitment of the GCC states to backing efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of people in crisis-hit communities. During a meeting with Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Amy Pope, Al-Budaiwi discussed the latest developments in the Middle East region.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference (MSC 2025) held in Germany's southern city. The GCC Secretariat highlighted that both parties explored ways to enhance cooperation with aid agencies to ensure an effective response to disasters and deliver famine relief to victims of wars.

The discussions underscored the GCC's dedication to supporting international efforts in mitigating the impact of conflicts and providing essential aid to affected populations.
