GCC Chief: Israel’s Plan to Occupy Gaza is a Flagrant Challenge to World

Kuwait city: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jasem Al-Budaiwi expressed concern over the decision by the Israeli occupation forces to occupy the Gaza Strip, describing it as a blatant challenge to the will of the international community.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Budaiwi emphasized that the move is a direct violation of UN resolutions and international laws. He warned that this dangerous escalation could undermine efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.

Al-Budaiwi highlighted that the actions of the Israeli occupation forces signify a policy of threatening regional security and stability, which exacerbates tension and violence. He called on the international community to ramp up efforts and take urgent, effective measures to pressure these forces into halting their systematic violations and ensuring international protection for the Palestinian people.

Furthermore, Al-Budaiwi reiterated the GCC's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and its solidarity with the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle to reclaim their inalienable rights. He stressed the importance of establishing an independent state based on the June 4, 1967, borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with UN resolutions and the Arab peace initiative.
