Davos: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi engaged in discussions with Maroun Kairouz, Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF) for the Middle East and North Africa, to explore avenues for enhancing joint cooperation. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 56th Annual Meeting of WEF 2026 in Davos, Switzerland.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the GCC and WEF. Both parties addressed various economic and development issues of mutual interest. They also reviewed the latest regional and international developments, exchanging perspectives on these topics.
Jasem Al-Budaiwi stressed the GCC's commitment to maintaining an active role in international economic forums and contributing to developing joint solutions to global economic challenges. He expressed appreciation for the World Economic Forum's efforts in promoting regional and international dialogue and cooperation.
